Reflections 12(term 3)
Home Section Page 1 Hawkers fall prey to brazen break-ins.
1a) Why is it easy for burglers to break into stalls at the two markets in the Kallang area? -Their stall unit was open at the top, leaving them exposed to thieves.Their stalls are near the open ceiling, in which the thieves got in through them.
b) What is the Geylang East Central Merchants' Association going to do about the break-ins? -They will be in touch with the relevant authorities and town councils to look into improving security, possibly by modifying stall layout and design.
2. What do you think should be done to tighten the security of the markets? What do you think of the burglars who brazenly break into the stalls? -They should have CCTV(closed circuit-television) installed at various concealing points to capture the process or pictures of any break-in. Policemen can also be assigned to do night patrol around those hawker centres to deter would-be burgler. I feel that the burglars are qite bold to break in the stall with the presence of their foot and hand prints on the walls. But nevertheless, they will still be caught by the law because they are blatant enough to leave the criminal evidence at the scene. Lastly, their short moment of foolishness caused them to face a period of commitment in jail.

Reflection 1(Sem 2, Term 3)
In Section Page 8 3 Cheers for the Team
(a) Why is cheerleading an expensive sport?
- Cheerleading requires one to spent at least 200 dollars on a single performance, 70 to 80 dollars per uniform and this sport has a high risk of injuries which is highly encouraged by signing up for a medical insurance..
(b) What makes cheerleading such a tough sport? -It requires hours of harsh practices several times a week.It also require one to put in blood, sweat and tears to perfect a high flip.Tough stunts such as tumbling and lifting are also part of the routine for cheerleading. On top of that, it also requires teamwork to get stunts done and not and easy and ''just for fun'' task. Much training has to be spent on cheerleading for it's moves to be executed gracefully. Comments from a cheerleading team stated that this sport is addictive and also a team sport and they emphasize much on resilience, perseverance and passion.
What is your opinion of cheerleaders? If given a chance, would you join cheerleading? Why/ why not? - They have to lead the team on cheerleading and make sure that every moves co-ordinate with one another. No, I don't have that amount of time to invest in cheerleading.
