Call us, helplines urge troubled teens

1a) List two reasons why teens are reluctant to call helplines despite the promise of anonymity and professional help.
- They would not confide in strangers and think it's wimpy to call.

b) According to Ms Lily Chu, how does Touch Leadership and Mentoring prefer to help troubled teens?
-They prefer to help teens through a more direct and effective means such as educational workshops in school, face-to-face counselling and home visits.

2) Have you confided in your friends or family members about the problems you face in school life? Why or why not?
- Yes. Sharing more problems with them help me to lighten my burden and it makes me feel more cheerful as they always have a way out to joke around and console me. They would also tell me not to bother about it so much as they do not want something to affect my life. It also helps me to understand one another better because they often share their stories about facing problems in school life.

Have you been betrayed by your friends before? If yes, how? (You may change the names of the people involved for privacy)
-No. Me and my friends get along quite well and we often share stories about life with one another. On the other hand, we also crack up jokes once in a while and have a good laugh about it and to a certain extent we might get a little rough with one another, but we do not have any ill intentions about it. Thus i feel that we have a good bond with one another and i doubt i will ever be betrayed by my friends.
